Cabot Creamery has announced the top performers in the second round of the company’s Reward Volunteers 2.0 competition. The combined efforts of participants from September 27th to October 27th totaled 3,398 hours of volunteer work that benefited 183 non-profit organizations across the country. This month’s winning organization, From the Ground Up Therapeutic Horsemanship, will receive a $1,000 donation from Cabot.
63 percent of architects, property owners, and construction firms surveyed in a new poll have green commercial building projects planned for the next three years, while half have green renovation projects planned. The poll, by construction services firm McGraw-Hill Construction with United Technologies and the World Green Building Council, also found that 51 percent of those surveyed expect more than 60 percent of their work to come from green projects by 2015, up from 28 percent of firms that currently reach that benchmark.
