Charity Bank wins the Best Business in the Community Award Charity Bank won the Best Business in the Community Award at the inaugural West Kent Business Excellence Awards last week (Thursday 23 October) where it was recognised for its commitment to revitalising deprived areas and communities.  Charity Bank has agreed more than £80 million worth of loan finance and provided support to over 600 charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working to provide vital services or generate jobs and income for local communities throughout the UK, through them reaching at least three million people. Chief Executive Malcolm Hayday also won the Not-for-profit Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his leadership, belief and passion in growing Charity Bank from a £500,000 pilot scheme into the UK?s first ever regulated bank and general charity.
