Haitian Earthquake Relief
|
(Justmeans.com / CSR News) - AMD has received a few inquiries about what our company is doing in response to the horrible tragedy that has befallen the nation of Haiti. For their information: First, we share the sentiments of the global community who are saddened by this disaster. AMD has an Employee Giving Program in place which is being used to support Haitian earthquake relief efforts. Through the program, AMD will match 50 cents to the dollar of employee cash contributions of at least $25 USD to eligible nonprofits and schools. The employee giving program also spans employee volunteer service. AMD will provide a contribution equal to $15 USD for each hour an employee volunteers with an eligible organization. We have reminded AMD employees about the program's availability and they have responded in kind. Many AMDers have already taken advantage of it, making personal donations to multiple charitable organizations to support the relief effort. |
