Introducing Mastering the Art of Sustainable Cooking, a cooking contest from Brighter Planet.

There’s no shortage of conservation tips out there. We’ve all seen them. But let’s face it: the real inspiration lies in stories demonstrating real people’s real life experiences reducing their impact, proving how you can have fun getting it done. Share your experience of how you use less energy and reduce waste without sacrificing nutrition, flavor, or the joy of sharing a delicious meal!

The contest gives you, regardless of your culinary experience, the opportunity to inspire others to create great food that’s also good for the planet.

Top experiences will be judged by a panel that includes Alice Waters, Bill McKibben, Amy Trubek, and Gary Hirshberg, and dozens of winners will take home sustainable cooking prizes including cookbooks, magazine subscriptions, cookware, and Amazon Kindles!

Anyone can participate. The contest runs through December 31. Winners will be announced in January.

hey Nikhil, the contest lives on the back-end of brighterplanet.com because it's synced with our conservation tip database. Sorry, you can only win prizes if you're in the US or Canada.

We'll definitely get a contest on the Justmeans site in the future. Keep an eye out!

Hope you'll check out the contest and join in! It's going on through December. People have shared some great experiences and tips, and thanks to our partners, we've been giving away environmentally responsible prizes every week. Amazon Kindle DXs are up for grabs as the grand prize! (Which actually have a lower carbon footprint than buying piles of new books every year). Contest link: http://jm.ly/74Ogno
