Miller Coors has reported the highlights of its environmental initiatives for the past year. They include the installation of a cooling system that uses recirculated water, saving 100 million gallons of water annually, equal to one billion 12-ounce cans.

AOL has teamed up with its longstanding partner, the UN Foundation, to support their Girl Up campaign to end child marriage. AOL has donated its mail sign-in page to support the Foundation’s ongoing effort to collect signatures for a pledge to stop the practice.

Bin It! 2.0, a new game app for plastics recycling, rewards players with real world rewards from Recyclebank, such as clothing, food, and beauty supplies. Consumers recycle common household plastics to earn points, redeemable for savings on products from Recyclebank’s reward partners. The game was developed by Plastics Make It Possible, creator of the app, and Earth 911, a recycling directory.
