Prudential Gives Out Spirit of Community Awards; Cabot Creamery Picks Winners of Reward Volunteers Program; Spectra Energy Honors Workers with Summit Awards - CSR Minute for May 23, 2012

Prudential has given out its 17^th Spirit of Community Awards to the top ten youth volunteers from each state and the District of Columbia for 2012 at an event held in the nation’s capital. All honorees received personal congratulations from New York Giants quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. During the four-day event, 102 students discussed their community service projects and shared information on volunteering by young people.

Cabot Creamery has announced the third round of winners in its Reward Volunteers program. The top 25 individual performers gave nearly 3,000 hours to volunteer organizations during April. The Reward Volunteers program uses Facebook Connect to enable participants to log their volunteer activity and share the volunteer experience.

Spectra Energy has selected the winners of its 2012 Summit Awards, a program that recognizes employees and contractors for outstanding accomplishments that demonstrate stewardship, integrity, win-win relationships, and initiative. This year’s honorees are New England Cottontail Habitat Restoration Team and the Union Gas Emergency Response F3 Tornado Team.
