Scripps Networks Interactive has been named a Tennessee “Green Achiever” by the Knoxville Business Journal’s online sustainability portal, GoGreenET. The Network was noted for its LEED Gold certified headquarters, and its coordinated sustainability program, which includes car pooling and a move to a paperless office, following a plan designed by DNV KEMA Energy and Sustainability. SNI’s media includes HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel.
Ernst & Young has completed a lighting retrofit of its U.S. headquarters in New York City. The project’s installation of energy-efficient lighting will cut the building’s annual energy use by three million kilowatt hours and reduce its CO2 emissions by two million pounds.
