The International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) was established in 2001 to act as a catalyst for performance improvement. Today, we bring together 21 mining and metals companies as well as 32 national and regional mining associations and global commodity associations to address the core sustainable development challenges faced by the industry.

(Justmeans.com / CSR News) - ICMM’s Christine Copley attended the workshop “Mining for Success – Social Risks and Responsible Mining Practices” in Panama, where she presented the ICMM Good Practice Guidance on Mining and Biodiversity to an audience of over 100. Participants included exploration and mining companies, NGOs and international financial institutions from across the Americas, keen to share experiences in addressing social and environmental risks around mining in Latin and Central America. |
