U.S. Congressman Sees R&D at RTP

House of Representatives member David Price recently visited DuPont’s Research Triangle Park (RTP) site to learn about DuPont, meet with employees and tour the facility, which is located in his congressional district. Dave Miller, president, Electronics & Communications (E&C), provided an overview of how DuPont and the E&C business are using market-driven science to deliver sustainable solutions. Rep. Price toured the Microcircuit Materials (MCM) labs and learned about actions the business is taking to capitalize on the strong growth in the photovoltaics (PV) market. In addition, Cliff Jamison, RTP site and human resources manager, highlighted the site’s economic impact on the community and the various local activities RTP employees support. “We appreciate Rep. Price for taking an interest in our business and spending time with us,” Dave said. “Not only was it beneficial from a relationship standpoint, but it also allowed him to see first-hand how the research and development work we’re doing is contributing to the overall viability of Research Triangle Park.” |
