Lavinia Weissman 16 March 2010 Nancy Baron was kind enough to email me. that I did not notice the date on this competition and that it expired. Thanks Nancy. I think when you recycle news on Justmeans, you need to look at dates and be date sensitive tied to the purpose of the post.

Lavinia Weissman 14 March 2010 I would like to create a website blog that invited CSR contribution in two ways. I would like to feature the video of Jeffrey Hollender's lecture at MIT Sloan School and I would like to use 7th Generation to reach out to other companies with me to capture the following stories for this blog, which I will name doing a focus group at a presentation at a conference tied to the topic of Sustainability, Education, CSR, etc.
1. For CEO's and their companies to report stories of how they avoided layoffs during challenging economic times 2. For recent grads of MBA programs in Sustainability who do not have jobs to share how they got a job and how they are using in school what they learned within a job they obtained or contract they won. 3. For women who own companies to report on the jobs they have created and methods of creating workforce opportunities within their companies and distinguish this report for Fortune 2000 and Small and Mid Cap or B corps. 4. For Corporate CSR Directors or Company leaders to report on how employment through their company has assured the sustainability and health of their employees and the families they care for. Thanks. |

Joeann Crafton 12 March 2010 I want to create garbage cans that also have a separate area for recycling. Like double decker cans, the top is the lidded part, and the lower part is an open hole for recycling!

Aaradhana Jhunjhunwala 14 January 2009 The model you have created is simple and aims to become self-sustainable. The real test will come when you run pilots as I feel you will have to make some provision for funds in case an entrepreneurial ventures either don't take off/ take off but cannot pay back the community centre the stipulated amount within a given period of time. It is a good starting point to promote community development and nurture small business ideas. All the best!

Jane Byrd 2 January 2009 Mother Earth Is Waiting for Us, There's a Debt We Have to Pay... Consumer Credit Card Debt for Nature Swaps:
More than any single thing in your current CSR report, I am most inspired by the founders' basic decision to commit the company's business to serving unto the 7th generation. We know that our current consumption rates are bankrupting the carrying capacity of the natural world upon which all life depends. And yet we continue consuming as if this bubble will never burst. Arthur Yarborough 1 January 2009 I visited your site and you guys are really on the right track! Your idea to create a "how to" for "B" corp status is much needed - I am in the process of filing right now and wish you already had this idea completed. I signed up for your newsletter and I hope you win this contest. Best of luck!

Audrey Henderson 1 January 2009 I would like to clarify my original idea, and how I would propose to spend the $5000 reward. Basically, I am proposing a best practices/benchmarking system focused on the following four areas to promote more sustainable air travel 1) Develop related technology to make planes more ecologically viable, such as lighter materials for building planes as I mentioned above. One promising area is algae-based jet fuel, which has been in research development at several companies for years. |
