Manpower Hong Kong has recently been awarded the 5 Years Plus Caring Company logo in 2009/10 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (http://www.hkcss.org.hk/index_e.asp). A total of four Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) recognize Manpower’s community involvement and commitment of being a corporate citizen. These activities focus on unemployed groups, students, diversity in the workplace and the environment. We conduct seminars and workshop to graduating students, unemployed sectors to provide work-readiness skills and job-seeking advices as well as guidance on (possible) career choices. We utilized our internal volunteer staff to carry out these programs. Our CSR initiative is committed to connecting individuals to meaning work and assisting people who may have extra difficulties finding sustainable employment by working in partnership with universities & colleges, various NGOs and NPOs. These NGOs have nominated us for the Caring Company Award due to the joint venture opportunities we have pursued with them over the years. We’re delighted to achieve all of the six criteria, namely, Volunteering, Giving, Mentoring, Employing the vulnerable, Caring for the Employee, and Caring for the Environment. |
