New Partnership Powers Modern Giving That Enables Employers to Scale Impact and Donors to Give on Their Own Terms

When most employers were only using paper pledge forms in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, America’s Charities paved the way to the future with its award-winning PledgeFirst e-giving solution, helping dozens of America’s most-renowned companies use technology to facilitate their employee giving campaigns for a first time.
As a country, we’ve gotten so used to facing the alarming number of veterans who take their own lives that it often feels abstract at this point; nameless, faceless statistics. For those of us who personally know veterans who’ve taken their own lives, it doesn’t take a 22-a-day statistic to feel the hurt — even one veteran suicide is one too many!
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County has provided critical-needs home repair to low-income residents of Montgomery County free of charge for the past 27 years. Last year alone, we completed 304 projects for 112 homeowners thanks to the support of more than 681 volunteers who invested over 6,000 hours of service into our community.
Technology platforms support a growing range of employee giving and engagement programs as companies expand their mix of community service and involvement initiatives, which are part of their broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and strategy. According to America’s Charities’ Snapshot 2015 report, “More than 80% of employers said they use technology to allow employees to give money; 65% use it to record volunteer hours; and 69% use technology to allow employees to sign up for volunteer events.”
For more than 40 years, the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) has been at the forefront of engaging national and local leaders, policymakers, educators, and parents around critical and timely issues that directly impact Black children and families.
