NEW YORK, November 2, 2017 /3BL Media/ - American Express, The National Trust for Historic Preservation and Main Street America announced today the winners of the Partners in Preservation: Main Streets. The 11 winning historic sites, determined by popular vote, will receive a total of $1.5 million in grants to fund their respective preservation projects. An additional $500,000 in grants was provided to the nonprofit partners of the 25 main street communities that participated in the program at the outset of the campaign to help raise awareness about their preservation needs.
Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption ranks Top 100 employers annually
Each year the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption recognizes the nation’s employers that offer the best adoption benefits to employees.
This year, American Express topped the list by overhauling its adoption benefits package for employees. The first place company offers $35,000 in financial reimbursement for the costs of the adoption and 20 weeks of paid leave to employees to bond with their children.
Nearly Nine out of Ten Americans Agree Main Streets Should Be Preserved; Campaign Encourages The Public to Celebrate and Vote For Their Favorites to Receive Preservation Grants
NEW YORK, October 5, 2017/3BL Media/ - Main streets across the country participating in Partners in Preservation: Main Streets will host “Open House Weekend” events, October 7-9, featuring family-friendly activities ranging from block parties and live music, to walking tours and art exhibits. During the events, guests will be able to learn about the program, the districts’ histories and the importance of Main Street restoration efforts.

Foster parents are required within days to be sure that the children placed with them are in school and taken to the doctor. Setting up these appointments and planning to care for a child takes time.
