Nearly Nine out of Ten Americans Agree Main Streets Should Be Preserved; Campaign Encourages The Public to Celebrate and Vote For Their Favorites to Receive Preservation Grants
NEW YORK, October 5, 2017/3BL Media/ - Main streets across the country participating in Partners in Preservation: Main Streets will host “Open House Weekend” events, October 7-9, featuring family-friendly activities ranging from block parties and live music, to walking tours and art exhibits. During the events, guests will be able to learn about the program, the districts’ histories and the importance of Main Street restoration efforts.
When a child is taken from an unsafe environment and placed in foster care, the clock is ticking to find them a safe home to stay in. Foster parents are required within days to be sure that the children placed with them are in school and taken to the doctor. Setting up these appointments and planning to care for a child takes time.

Each year the Foundation ranks the nation’s employers that offer the best adoption benefits to their employees. The Top 100 list features companies like American Express (#1), Capital One (#2), Facebook (#31 tied), Comcast (#31 tied), Hilton (#61 tied), adidas (#74 tied) and Zappos (#85 tied.)
Each year the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption ranks the nation’s employers with the best adoption benefits. The Top 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace List is based first on financial reimbursement for adoption costs and second on paid time off given to families who adopt.

American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation Have Provided $19 Million in Funding Through This Program
NEW YORK, September 25, 2017 /3BL Media/ - American Express and The National Trust for Historic Preservation, in collaboration with Main Street America, announced today that Partners in Preservation is headed to Main Street. Partners in Preservation is a community-based partnership to raise awareness of the importance of preserving historic places and their role in sustaining local communities. This year’s program, Partners in Preservation: Main Streets, will award $2 million in grants to Main Street districts in need of preservation support across America.

The Taproot Foundation gathered nonprofits and skilled volunteers across the country to celebrate 9/11 Day of Service through pro bono, supported by American Express. Organizations in New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco brought their challenges to Taproot’s Speed Consulting workshop to garner insights from industry experts in such areas as marketing, HR, strategy, and finance.
