4th Annual Program Hosted By Verizon With Street Law To Educate Students About A Career in the Legal Field
May 10, 2013 /3BL Media/ - As part of its award-winning pro bono program, Verizon’s legal department recently hosted its fourth annual Street Law event at its Basking Ridge headquarters on April 29. Students from Franklin High School and New Brunswick High School spent the day learning about a career in the legal field from some of Verizon’s top legal professionals.
A recent study published in The Harvard Business Review estimates that the average young, talented worker only stays at the same job for 28 months before moving on to another company. The same report stated that nearly three-quarters of a company’s young high-achieving employees are actively looking for other opportunities outside of their company, and are interviewing with another company at least once a year.
Grant reflects Accenture’s corporate citizenship focus, Skills to Succeed
NEW YORK, December 4, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and the Accenture Foundations today announced that they have awarded KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program), a national network of charter schools, a grant of US$3.3 million to help young people in underserved communities transition from secondary education to higher education and employment. This grant brings Accenture’s direct support of KIPP to US$3.7 million since 2009.
