Engineer joins the crew to help and support Mercy Ships in West Africa
GENOA, July 6, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Mercy Ships and Costa Group have reached a key milestone in their recently announced cooperation by kicking-off a joint volunteer program supporting the hospital ship Africa Mercy. For a total of four months, the first Costa Group volunteer Tomislav Zubovic will serve as an engineer on board to support the ship’s staff and pass on his seafaring experiences gained with companies like AIDA.
Three benches made of recycled aluminum as a result of separate collection
SAVONA, October 27 2016 /3BL Media/ - Three benches made of recycled aluminum have been positioned at Darsena, in front of the historic “Torretta” as a gift to the community of Savona. This is one of the results of the “Message in a can” initiative, which was launched earlier this year by CIAL (Aluminum Packaging Consortium), Municipality of Savona, Ata Spa (Savona Municipality Company for waste collection) and Costa Cruises, in order to promote and develop the collection and recycling of aluminum in the city.
October 10 marks the start on board the ships of the Costa fleet in the Mediterranean of awareness-raising activities to support the project "Pink is Good", promoted by the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi.
