Program to honor volunteers, donate $20,000 to local environmental nonprofits
Orlando, Fla. June 6, 2016 /3BL Media/ — WFTV Channel 9, in partnership with The Trust for Public Land, today launched Central Florida’s 2016 Cox Conserves Heroes program to honor local environmental volunteers. Nominations are being accepted through June 29 at www.9family.com for volunteers who are creating, preserving or enhancing outdoor spaces.
Today is Global Running Day. Across the nation, volunteers are creating and preserving trails. Whether running, walking, hiking or cycling, these trails connect people with nature. Five Atlanta-based companies are shrinking the gap between startup entrepreneurs and established businesses.
Coca-Cola, Capgemini, Cox Enterprises, Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) and The Weather Company combined forces to create The Bridge: Atlanta, a startup commercialization program focused on mentoring up-and-coming technology entrepreneurs that can help solve challenges one or more of the sponsoring companies may face.
