Manheim Ohio Wins 2015 Corporate Caring Award


Columbus Business First announced the honorees and finalists for the 2015 Corporate Caring Awards. The program honors for-profit companies for their financial contributions, volunteer service and other unique contributions to Columbus' charities and nonprofit organizations. Manheim Ohio was selected as a winner in the Medium Company category for its work with Canine Companions for Independence.

Community Environmental Council, benShea’s nonprofit beneficiary, received $10,000. Representing Orange County, San Diego and Santa Barbara, the three finalists were chosen by judging panels from Cox’s California service areas. The finalists then competed in an online public vote to be named California’s Cox Conserves Hero.

Today is World Ocean's Day. For hundreds of Cox employees, a day at the beach is about a lot more than sand and surf – it’s an opportunity to make a positive impact on our oceans. During 2014, we gathered at beaches in California, Florida, New York and Washington to help clean up shorelines. In all, more than 5 tons of trash was removed as part of these beach cleanups.
