In this latest report, UPS is announcing that in addition to reducing overall carbon emissions in 2013, the company also met its 2016 goal of reducing its air and ground fleet's carbon intensity by 10 percent three years early. Thus, the company has set a new goal to achieve a 20 percent reduction in carbon intensity from transportation by 2020.

To celebrate World Environment Day last month, more than 200 members of AYAC (Amway Young Achievers’ Club) joined in flash mobs in over 10 cities in Guangdong Province to advocate for environmental protection.
The members all wore t-shirts with the words “I DO” printed on them, and they held mini chalk boards or white boards with their own “environmental protection manifestos” written on them.

July 25, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Today, UPS released its annual 2012 Sustainability Report with the theme “More of What Matters.” Environmental achievements included ground and air fuel savings, increased investments in alternative fuel vehicles and retooled routes that shaved 12.1 million miles from ground deliveries. The company has also set a new alternative fuel goal: by 2017, to reach 1 billion miles driven by alternative fuel/advanced technology fleet – more than double the previous 400 million mile goal.
