Employees Get Out in Communities To Make A Green Difference

Here at Time Warner Cable (TWC), I lead our enterprise-wide “Green Teams,” overseeing 15 employee groups that help the company raise environmental awareness, create operational efficiencies, and support local environmental organizations. During the month of April we celebrated our one-year anniversary of the Green Teams with an Earth Month celebration. Our Green Teams led the way with activities for employees in their local offices including:
JetBlue Airways recently announced its eighth annual “One Thing That’s Green” initiative. To celebrate Earth Month, the airline partnered with Carbonfund.org Foundation, a leading environmental non-profit organization, to offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases (CO2e) for all scheduled flights from April 1 to April 30, 2015.

We try to reduce GHG emissions from our daily operation, but we aren't able to completely eliminate them – no airline can with current technology. In the meantime, we're making use of carbon offsets. In celebration of Earth Month, JetBlue is proud to offset all CO2e emissions from scheduled flights from April 1-30, 2015.

ARLINGTON, Va., April 9, 2014 /3BL Media/ - The Nature Conservancy released the results of the first global survey to capture not only how much time kids spend outside, but also parents’ perspectives on the importance and benefits of time spent in nature.
The survey, funded by Disney, included parents of children between the ages of three and 18 in the U.S., Brazil, China, France and Hong Kong and revealed the following:
