WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2013 /3BL Media/ – In celebration of ENERGY STAR Day 2013, LG Electronics USA and PTO Today joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to recognize the top 25 winners of the Fall “Team ENERGY STAR” challenge.
Team ENERGY STAR is a multi-year initiative from EPA’s ENERGY STAR program that involves kids in helping their families save energy and money at home, while teaching them how energy efficiency is good for the environment.
BMW will cut the cost of powering its computing operations by 80 percent by moving power-hungry applications to Verne Global’s 100 percent, dual-sourced, renewable-powered data center campus in Iceland. According to the U.K.-based data center developer, BMW will move intensive applications, including crash simulations, aerodynamic calculations, and computer aided design and engineering.
