MIT Hyperloop Team Named 2020 Edison Awards Winner

Arrow Electronics Employees Sponsor Donation Drive for REMAR Mexico Shelter

CENTENNIAL, Colo., February 21, 2020 /3BL Media/– Employees in Arrow Electronics’ Guadalajara, Mexico operations sponsored a donation drive for the REMAR Occidente Shelter that provides essential services for women and children. 

About 25 Arrow employees organized and supported the drive, which resulted in the donation of food, clothing and four laptops, benefitting 60 children. The employees delivered the supplies, installed the computers and hosted a party for the shelter’s residents.

On Jan. 6, 2000, a racing accident left IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt paralyzed from the shoulders down.

Twenty years later, Schmidt is driving again at speeds up to 192 mph. To help Schmidt reclaim his independence and drive again, engineers at Arrow Electronics modified a Chevrolet Corvette to create a smart, connected vehicle that he can operate safely and independently.

CENTENIAL Colo., December 24, 2019 /3BL Media/ – This holiday season, Arrow Electronics employees in the Americas purchased more than 100 tote bags handcrafted by women in rural Tanzania to support NEEMA International and its DigiTruck classroom for orphaned students in the country’s Kilimanjaro region. With company-matched funds, employees donated enough to cover the cost of five school scholarships for DigiTruck students in 2020.
