Top Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Efforts down 2.6%

Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum survey shows revenue for top 30 programs dropped $44.2 million to $1.67 billion in 2013

Atlanta, Feb. 26, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Eight-figure revenue contractions by three major programs led the country’s top thirty peer-to-peer fundraising programs to an overall 2.6% decline in 2014, according to the industry’s annual fundraising roundup. 

Seventeen of the top thirty programs reported increased or unchanged revenue, but that could not overcome contractions of $27.5 million by the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, $20 million by Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Race for the Cure Series and $15.5 million for the Komen 3-Day walks.

KFC France Raises More than $300,000 for WHR


From soccer to champagne, KFC France staged a dynamic 2013 World Hunger Relief (WHR) effort that will send more than US$321,292 to school canteens in Cambodia on behalf of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).  

During the first week of the campaign, all KFC France equity and franchise stores donated 15 euro centimes per transaction to the World Food Programme. "We are particularly proud that all our franchisees support the WFP and that they motivate their teams around this important cause," said Ivan Schofield, GM Western Europe, KFC.

CITGO Lemont Refinery Donation To Help Local United Way Chapter Provide Social Services

The money was raised during the 2013 "Give Your Share to Show You Care" Workplace Campaign, by more than 570 CITGO employees, including support from the United Steel Workers Union (USW) and matching funds from CITGO Petroleum Corporation. The proceeds directly benefit the United Way of Will County, which supports more than 46 partner agencies and community programs across Will County, Illinois.
