Building on our Techstars partnership with Dynamic Green Products (DGP), we have launched a new line of FDA-listed hand sanitizer gel to help combat COVID-19.
Stanley Black & Decker created the STANLEY + Techstars Accelerator in 2018 with a focus on additive manufacturing and expanded the program in 2019 to include eco-friendly sustainable packaging solutions. Many of these start-ups have adapted their business to provide COVID-19 resources and support for frontline workers.
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 6, 2020/3BL Media/– As the COVID-19 pandemic stretches resources across the world, manufacturers are retooling their production lines to produce essential supplies. When one of our customers stepped up to make hand sanitizer for their facilities and the American Red Cross, they turned to International Paper, the leading producer of renewable fiber-based packaging, pulp and paper, to help transport the product to these critical operations and relief efforts.
When crisis hits, fast thinking and a people-first attitude makes all the difference in how a company responds. That’s why, as early as March 17, family-owned Bacardi shifted gears to help produce much-needed hand sanitizers in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Our R&D team in Marysville, Ohio, knows all too well the mantra of ScottsMiracle-Gro co-founder Horace Hagedorn: “Find a need and fill it.” Typically, their work along these lines takes the form of developing innovative lawn and garden products and solutions for consumers.
After Jack Daniel’s and Chase Rice partnered recently for a concert to benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians COVID-19 fund, John Hayes, President of USA & Canada shared with Fox News all of the ways Brown-Forman is supporting our communities and industry during this time.
While the Research & Development (R&D) team at Brown-Forman plays an important role in building our brands, they are currently focused on a different type of product to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
R&D developed, produced, and packaged hand sanitizer for our production teams to keep them safe and healthy while they are keeping our operations up and running.
Amid COVID-19, as industry leaders we must remember our long-term commitments to ALL our stakeholders.
I continue to be inspired by those on the frontline – the first responders, everyone on Team Dow and all our partners – who continue to keep us safe, keep us informed, and keep us moving forward through this COVID-19 crisis. I applaud you.
I also want to share a heartfelt thank you to my colleagues in our industry.
