Blackburn Moreno was the board designate on the HACR board of directors, representing ASPIRA Association, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations focused on empowering Latino youth through advocacy, education, and leadership development.

WASHINGTON, September 14, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America stalled or reversed course during 2020, according to the 2021 HACR Corporate Inclusion Index (CII) released today. The report, themed “Hispanic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion During Crisis,” is the result of research conducted over the course of the past year using data and survey responses from 92 participating corporations, the majority of which are Fortune 500 companies. The number of companies participating in the HACR CII increased by 32 percent over the prior year.

WASHINGTON, August 9, 2021 /3BL Media/ - The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) praises the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on its decision to approve Nasdaq’s proposal that would require new mandatory board diversity on Nasdaq-listed companies. This decision follows Nasdaq’s push to require corporations to disclose board race and gender statistics as part of their listing requirements, and to have a minimum of two diverse directors—one self-identifying female, and one self-identifying underrepresented minority or LGBTQAI+ directors.
HACR commemorates former board member and LULAC president following his passing
WASHINGTON, May 7, 2021 /3BL Media/– The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) sent condolences today in response to the passing of Enrique “Rick” Dovalina, a former HACR board member and 46th national president of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Dovalina sat on the HACR board of directors from 1998-2002, during which he also served as LULAC’s national president. During his tenure on HACR’s board, he served as chair of the governance committee. Dovalina was a Houston-based attorney and civil rights advocate.
