The two-year Morgan Stanley Foundation grant is a continuation of Morgan Stanley’s long-standing partnership with KaBOOM!, which has already led to the creation of 20 playgrounds, serving more than 9,500 kids around the country.

With our partners and volunteers we will be building two physical playgrounds in Boston and Atlanta and providing creative play grants in 12 cities to provide local nonprofits an Imagination Playground or Rigamjig, which allow for year-round actvitiy in areas with limited space or inclement weather.

On Saturday, despite intermittent downpours, Bobby Bonilla, Cliff Floyd and Charles Johnson were among hundreds of people who gathered to build a playground for a South Florida community whose children will benefit from the healthy and creative outlet for their young minds and bodies.
On June 19, 8:30am, over 200 Amway and community volunteers descended upon the Steepletown neighborhood on Grand Rapids’ northwest side. Their goal? To bring something that had been missing from the area for quite some time – a playground.
The playground is the 19th built by Amway and KaBOOM! KaBOOM! is a national non-profit dedicated to ensuring that all kids get that access to play that they need to thrive.

Tucked away neatly in an Opa-Locka, FL neighborhood sits Room2Bloom, a daycare center unlike most others.
Spread out across an area that takes up nearly an entire city block, Room2Bloom resembles a mini college campus, with a main administration building and several separate classroom buildings. All of the rooms are bright, colorful and full of energy (with the exception of nap time, of course!).
