We sat down with Ruth, Gildan’s Operations Manager, to look back at her 15 year career at the company. From starting out as a Quality Supervisor to finding her fit in operations, Ruth shares her story and the personal milestones she reached along the way:

Q: Tell us about your career journey:
I’ve been with Gildan from the start of my career, it’s the only company I’ve worked for and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
When I was in college, I used to drive by the Gildan facility and think to myself, 'one day, I’m going to work there!' Little did I know that shortly after that, I’d get an interview and start my journey at Gildan. That was 20 years ago!
Wood — the building block of all Domtar products — is composed of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. Cellulose and hemicellulose can be converted into cellulosic sugars.
