This means that in the future, heavy trucks will take part in urban distribution operations with zero local emissions and hardly a whisper. The market launch of this technology is conceivable for Daimler Trucks at the beginning of the next decade. In the light distribution sector, Daimler Trucks has already been impressively demonstrating the day-to-day suitability of the fully electric truck in customer trials with the FUSO Canter E-Cell since 2014.

Celebrate, dance, show off. In July 2016, the Mercedes-Benz Bank Service Center in Berlin and Daimler employees in Stuttgart took part in the Christopher Street Day event. Mercedes-Benz USA also acknowledged diversity and tolerance for gays.

Christopher Street Day is a mixture of a party and a demonstration by lesbians, homosexuals, bisexuals and transgender persons, which takes a stand against the discrimination of such persons.

Operation of Photovoltaic Facility Commences

Mercedes-Benz at the 7th Silvretta eRallye

With a total of nine electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz in 2016 took part for the seventh time in the Silvretta Rallye. In the end, the Mercedes-Benz B 250 e finished second out of the 26 electric vehicles that had lined up at the start.

In early July, the Silvretta high Alpine Road in Montafon, Austria, was transformed for three days into a showplace for emission-free electric automobiles and classic cars. With nine vehicles among the 26 electric cars, Mercedes-Benz entered the largest fleet, which included a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive, a GLC 350 e 4MATIC, two Mercedes-Benz E 350 e and three Mercedes-Benz B 250 e.
