CITGO Awards Grants for Restoration Programs in Celebration of National Estuaries Week

HOUSTON, September 28, 2017 /3BL Media/ - For the third year in a row, CITGO Petroleum Corporation has awarded eight grants to local government agencies and nonprofits in celebration of National Estuaries Week, which took place Sept. 16-23. Through a partnership between CITGO and Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE), each grant will fund the organization’s restoration programs, environmental clean-ups, tree plantings and educational events.

CONSTANCE BEACH, La., Oct. 2, 2015 /3BL Media/ – In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Rita’s landfall on September 24, 2005, CITGO Petroleum Corporation  joined with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) to lead volunteers in restoring the dunes of Southwest Louisiana’s Cameron Parish Shoreline.

HOUSTON, Texas – Sept. 18, 2015 /3BL Media/ – CITGO Petroleum Corporation is continuing its commitment to coastal restoration by dedicating volunteer hours and donations in support of National Estuaries Week, scheduled from Sept. 19-26. CITGO volunteers will participate in a series of restoration projects co-sponsored by Gulf Coast-based organizations affiliated with Restore America’s Estuaries, the national leader and coordinator for National Estuaries Week.
