Innovative agreement with sector partner Points of Light aimed at boosting service field
WASHINGTON, March 14, 2018 /3BL Media/ - Today, in an effort to boost the service year field and advance shared missions, Service Year Alliance officially acquired AmeriCorps Alums from Points of Light. AmeriCorps Alums, which had been an enterprise of Points of Light since 2005, is the only national network that connects the more than 1 million alumni of all AmeriCorps programs to resources that support their lifetime of service.
Wendy Samples may have been the only Frontline Families AmeriCorps member in the entire state of Mississippi over the last year, but her friend and colleague, Heath Dearman, said she has been the perfect fit for this role.

Points of Light is calling for Conference workshop proposals focused on replicable strategies for engaging volunteers in local problem-solving, capacity building for community organizations, innovative technology for social good, and more.
Funding will support 87 AmeriCorps members at 28 local Rebuilding Together affiliates across the nation
WASHINGTON, July 20, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Rebuilding Together has received a $781,697 AmeriCorps grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to support 87 AmeriCorps members who will provide critical support to our mission of transforming the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing their communities. This grant will support AmeriCorps members in 28 cities and 19 states across the country.
