With a new investment of more than US $170,000 signed earlier this year, Gildan and World Vision Honduras are enhancing their existing partnership and will collaborate to diligently strengthen World Vision’s sustainable education intervention program in 1,200 schools in Honduras.
We sat down with Champa, one of our sewing superintendents at our Dhaka factory to look back at her seventeen-year career at the Company. From starting out as a Quality Inspector to growing into her role as a team leader, Champa shares her story, her personal milestones and the environment she creates for her team on the factory floor. Caterina, Account Clerk for Gildan in Montreal, Canada was diagnosed with cancer in December 2018. Shortly after she went on leave, underwent two surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy, but none of it has gotten her down. In fact, she’s more positive than ever. Here’s her story:
Tell me a bit about yourself?
I have two daughters, one is thirteen and the other eight years old. The older one is an angel, but the youngest is feisty! I have a wonderful husband and something most people don’t know about me is that I also have a twin brother.
