MAYSVILLE, Ky., January 25, 2021 /3BL Media/ – International Paper’s Maysville, Ky. Mill has awarded $65,000 in IP Foundation Grants for the 2020 grant cycle. Thirteen deserving organizations in Maysville and surrounding areas received grants to support projects focused on IP’s signature causes – education, hunger, health and wellness and disaster relief.

For the health and safety of our employees and our communities, volunteerism at International Paper looked a little different this year. Employees across the United States had a variety of opportunities to volunteer in meaningful ways individually and with family. One such volunteer opportunity was Holiday Mail for Heroes for the American Red Cross. Volunteers in South Carolina created holiday greetings for veterans and active military, which the American Red Cross distributed.

Twelve leading member companies, including International Paper, from the Forest Solutions Group (FSG) of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) have issued the first Implementation Report of the Forest Sector SDG Roadmap (SDG Roadmap) released in July 2019. The report provides evidence of FSG members’ commitment to implementing the actions in the SDG Roadmap, takes stock of the status of implementation of the different actions among FSG members, and sets a baseline against which to track progress over time.
Memphis, Tenn. - November and December traditionally come with many opportunities for Memphis-based International Paper colleagues to come together to serve those most in need during the holiday season. While team members were not able to volunteer in person due to social distancing efforts, International Paper is proud to continue to support the Memphis community this holiday season. They also provide the source for goods we rely upon every day, including cardboard boxes, lumber, paper towels, toilet paper, and packing and printer paper.
