While walking through our headquarters campus recently, I heard dogs barking in close proximity. It was unusual given the expanse of the site, so I decided to investigate. As I rounded the corner toward our soccer field, I saw several police officers (human and canine) grouped together in what appeared to be organized training. At that moment I remembered a recent notice from our local Workplace Solutions (WPS) team informing us that the local police department would be utilizing our campus for K-9 officer training.
As part of Engineers Week, this past Saturday Keysight’s Santa Rosa, CA headquarters hosted our annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event. We’ve been doing these for over 15 years now, and this one was the best yet! 100 girls and young women from 6th through 12th grades gathered for six hours of fun, team-based learning, where the project involved radio transmissions, secret codes, cryptexes, and a competition to discover the name of a famous female engineer.

Santa Rosa-based Keysight Technologies Inc. will soon break ground on a new on-site child care center for its employees and the public at its Fountaingrove campus, the company announced Wednesday.
The facility is scheduled to open in August and is expected to add 100 child care slots to the area. Company officials said the facility will play a role in the electronics test and measurement firm’s employee retention and recruitment plans.
