Hand-crafted with an artisanal flair describes both the effort and the quality of beans that are originating from Peru. As much as 95% of the producers are small-scale family farmers, each with about 2 to 3 hectares of land. These farmers are committed to their production, focused on nurturing some of the highest quality beans in the market today. However; the combination of extreme isolation, unpredictable weather and market patterns paired with limited communication kept these quality beans in hiding.
Lima, 9 April 2104 /3BL Media/ – The UN Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate today convened an international water stewardship conference in Lima, Peru – part of a four-day CEO Water Mandate event focusing on corporate water stewardship, collective action and the Post-2015 Development Agenda in relation to water and sanitation challenges in Peru. The conference was attended by approximately 200 senior representatives from the public sector, international and local business, civil society, academia, and other interests.

Feb. 11, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Freeport-McMoRan’s Cerro Verde mine recently was one of four nominees for the Wildlife Habitat Council’s prestigious Corporate Habitat of the Year Award.
Nominees for the award represent those companies with outstanding WHC Wildlife at Work programs. These voluntary programs, certified by the WHC, aim to create, conserve and restore wildlife habitat on corporate lands.
While the site didn’t take home the big award, the nomination recognized several of Cerro Verde’s environmental management and education programs.
