(NYSE: XYL), today announced it is sourcing and donating 40,000 N95 masks to frontline utility operators. The program is providing for the safety of essential water, wastewater and solid waste utility workers in smaller, rural and tribal utilities who have kept water flowing in their communities amidst the challenges of COVID-19. The first shipments of face masks began in late July.

International Paper Donates Boxes to Shelby County Division of Community Services and Momentum Nonprofit Partners for PPE Distribution
MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 29, 2020 /3BL Media/ – Shelby County Government Division of Community Services, Momentum Nonprofit Partners and International Paper have joined forces to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to Memphis area organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Georgia Tech team garnered funding through a donation from insurer Aflac Incorporated allocated through the Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI), a Georgia Tech affiliated non-profit organization that guides new experimental medical solutions to market. Aflac’s gift of $2 million through GCMI has also expedited the development, production, and purchase of other PPE to donate to health care workers.
Health care professionals and other employees working at senior living communities are on the frontline of caring for a group that is extremely vulnerable to COVID-19: our seniors. These communities have a pressing need for PPE supplies to deliver safe and effective care.
CNH Industrial has received over 210,000 masks from supply chain partner Microvast. These masks, of which 10,000 are KN95 certified, will be delivered to Company facilities in Italy to continue to protect the health and safety of employees. CNH Industrial’s supply chain in China facilitated the shipment.

The coronavirus hit Seattle hard and early, and by mid-March it was clear that hospitals were dangerously low on protective gear. One looming crisis was the disposable paper hoods used as part of a positive air pressure respiration (PAPR) system. The hoods receive filtered and pressured air through a hose, so doctors and nurses can breathe freely without inhaling germs from the outside. But hospitals were running low on stock.
