The award recognizes Team Members across all the company’s business regions who have demonstrated a dedication to giving back to local communities and important causes.
The Nevada Homeless Alliance (NHA) organizes Project Homeless Connect, a series of service events bringing providers together in a single place to help those in need in the local Las Vegas community. With the assistance of Sands Cares, recently honored as the NHA Sponsor of the Year, the organization is able to better deliver on its mission.
At the end of 2019, Sands will celebrate the first Sands Cares Accelerator graduate, when the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation (ICF) closes out its three-year membership in the program.
Through the Accelerator, Sands creates a deeper and longer-term engagement with nonprofit organizations the company believes have the potential to fast-track capabilities to greater impact on our community. The company dedicates substantial resources to enable members to accelerate their ability to deliver on their mission.
Since 2015, Las Vegas Sands has invested more than $4 million in homelessness-related issues and has become a champion for tackling youth homelessness, in particular, as co-founder of the Southern Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit with long-time partner Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY).

The third annual INSPIRE charitable fundraiser concert, presented by Sands Cares, took place on May 24, 2019 at The Venetian Theatre and was headlined by GRAMMY Award-winning artist Kelly Clarkson. The concert raised almost $300,000 for Sands Cares Accelerator members, including the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation and Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.
