New Campaign Will Support Additional Beds for Homeless and At-Risk Youth, Addressing a Key Strategy Outlined in the Southern Nevada Plan to End Youth Homelessness
LAS VEGAS, February 12, 2019 /3BL Media/ – Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth today launched a Housing Expansion Campaign to generate funds for a new facility that will provide much-needed beds for homeless youth in Southern Nevada, and announced a $100,000 seed investment from Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) through Sands Cares.
As part of our commitment to our veterans and providing relief and finding solutions to end homelessness in Las Vegas, we continue to support Veterans Village and their housing project, The Village by Sands Cares. The new housing development will consist of ten fully transformed and furnished shipping container units for our veterans in downtown Las Vegas.
Built for Zero, a national initiative to end chronic homelessness, launched the Permanent Supportive Housing Campaign in Las Vegas, making Southern Nevada one of 70 communities participating in this comprehensive effort. Led by organizations including U.S.

When the Sands Cares Fresh Start Mobile Showers Powered by Clean the World began operations, we wanted to provide immediate relief and resources to those in need as part of our commitment to combatting homelessness. The Fresh Start Mobile Showers travel across the Las Vegas Valley, working together with several homeless services providers, offering showers five days a week.
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas was recognized for their community service through Sands Cares, the company’s corporate giving and Team Member engagement program, at the 2018 Governor’s Points of Light Awards in October.
