Republic Services of Southern Nevada is Proud to Partner Again with Lowe’s, UNLV and the Springs Preserve on Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program

Republic Services of Southern Nevada is proud to partner again this year with Lowe’s, UNLV and the Springs Preserve on an annual Christmas tree recycling program. Dozens of drop off locations are available throughout the Las Vegas area until January 15th. Local residents are encouraged to recycle their trees, which will be converted into reusable mulch.

Last winter, the local team collected and recycled over 15,800 trees.

Donate a Scarf from the Heart


The Southern Nevada division of Republic Services hosted a scarf collection drive to support the Catholic Charities shelter program during the holidays.  Local Republic employees filled three large bags with more than 100 scarves. The theme for the scarf drive was Donate a Scarf from the Heart. 

“We supplied the fleece and all the employees supplied the heart,” stated Terry Magnani, Republic Services local billing supervisor.

Republic Services of Southern Nevada was proud to present the City of Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen and City Council members with a check to support recycling education for Clark County School District - Henderson schools. The funds will support the development of the Desert Research Institute (DRI) Green Box Program providing recycling education tools, resources and curriculum to local schools.
