The Amway world was saddened this week to hear of the passing of longtime Independent Business Owner and Founders Crown Ambassador Jim Dornan. The Amway One by One team had the privilege of visiting Jim and Nancy Dornan last year to learn about one of their great passions: Power Soccer, a sport – and a community – for people in power wheelchairs. Jim and Nancy were supposed to stop by the game for a quick interview with us. Instead, they spent all afternoon with us at the game, then treated us to dinner.

Juan de Dios Pellecer Aldana, 32, is from Villa Nueva, Guatemala.  For the past two years, Juan has participated in the production of "The Intruder" radio soap opera and the weekly "Youth on the Air" radio program in Guatemala.  The program is coordinated by Asociacion Comunicares in partnership with PCI-Media Impact.  In this blog entry, Juan de Dios, who was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalic, tells the story of how participating in this program changed his life.
