Celebrating Black History Month brings opportunity to engage more deeply in conversations with friends, family members, and colleagues. While many are familiar with Dr. Martin Luther King’s civil rights efforts, we may not easily recall the importance he placed on economic equity in outlining his vision for a more inclusive world. In the famous “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963, King highlighted the “vast ocean of material prosperity” that lay beyond the reach of many American citizens. King knew that freedom depended a great deal on access to economic opportunities.

November 12, 2020 /3BL Media/ - FCA was named National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) Class IV "Corporation of the Year" at the 2020 National Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange held virtually on Oct 29. This is the second year in a row FCA has received this award.
Rona joined United Airlines in October 2019 as the leader of their supplier diversity program. In collaboration with United’s Global Community Engagement team, whose objectives include breaking down barriers and promoting inclusion, Rona is responsible for the development and implementation of business enterprise programs to meet diversity goals through advocacy, influence, training and analysis.
Today, we analyze how the BRT signatories in our coverage universe (151 of the 206 total companies whose executives have signed the statement) measure up on transparency around four of these key actions: conducting a pay equity analysis, disclosing workforce demographic data, funding local education programs, and instituting a diverse supplier policy.
