Canteen truck donated by FedEx in 2013 to The Salvation Army in Sao Paulo, Brazil continues to be put to good use. Most recently, it has been used to provide 6,000 meals and hygiene items to people impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Albertsons Companies’ Denver Division partnered with The Salvation Army in Aurora, Colorado to help get food to those in need during the Coronavirus pandemic. In honor of National Salvation Army Week, The Salvation Army collaborated with the Denver Division’s Albertsons and Safeway stores, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Aurora Town Center, and the City of Aurora to host one of the largest food distribution events in Colorado where 3,000 families received boxes of food and Albertsons and Safeway gift cards.
AEG’s LA Kings will host its annual Firefighter Appreciation Night on Jan. 6 at STAPLES Center as the Kings take on the Nashville Predators.
A cornerstone of the team’s community outreach, the Kings Care Foundation will donate tickets to local organizations that serve firefighters and their families in addition to encouraging LA Kings season ticket members to donate money toward a fund to provide free tickets to local firefighters.
Three charities to benefit from annual Wishes Delivered campaign

Backpacks for Kids – the largest backpack distribution event in the region – helps students start off the school year by providing them with backpacks filled with school supplies. This year, eighty Avista volunteers helped distribute 5,500 backpacks, and through employee donations, Avista gave $9,600 to the effort.
