More than two decades ago, just before Christmas, someone stole all the toys being kept in a South Bay Salvation Army warehouse. After learning of the break-in, a Honda executive in Torrance decided to try to rectify the situation. Honda would organize a holiday party at a hotel and allow the Salvation Army to invite needy people from the community.
