UPS Supports Conservation of Forests Critical to Reducing the Impact of Climate Change

As the director of the forest health program at The Nature Conservancy, I have the privilege of leading work I love and work that makes a difference in the world. As an ecologist I have an understanding of the importance of nature and its many benefits to people and communities.
For 30 years The Nature Conservancy and UPS have worked together to advance forest conservation projects. To date, The UPS Foundation – the company’s philanthropic arm – has provided over $4 million for Conservancy projects.
UPS and The Conservation Fund collaborate to conserve forests across the US

Lahey Health employee volunteers root for the environment by planting 15 trees
October 27, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Lahey Health has partnered with CBS EcoMedia through its EcoAd program to support the planting of 15 large trees at the intersection of Pawtucket Street and Father Morissette Boulevard in downtown Lowell. The tree planting was coordinated by Alliance for Community Trees and the Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust. Funding will support ongoing maintenance and pruning of the trees.
Lahey Health’s funding will increase downtown Lowell’s urban forest while achieving the many quality-of-life benefits that come with planting trees.
Caterpillar is committed to making sustainable progress possible and encourages our employees to get involved in sustainability efforts in their facilities and communities, which is what Caterpillar employees did in Texas and Illinois in April. Employees spent time volunteering to help educate others and improve the environment for Earth Day.

FedEx team members are working with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to plant 65 trees along the Fall Creek Greenway Trail, in Indianapolis. This annual FedEx planting completes the final piece of the Fall Creek waterway that has not yet been planted with KIB trees—an effort that KIB undertook beginning in 2006— to restore the Fall Creek waterway.
