On September 8, 20 associates from Alliance Data’s card services business volunteered at the 8th Annual Kootenai Health Triathlon for Kids. The triathlon is designed for children, ages 4-12, to promote health and fitness to the children in the Coeur d’Alene community. This event is hosted annually by Kootenai Health, with the proceeds going toward their Pediatric Rehabilitation Services mostly to purchase new equipment and toys for patients.

In 2017, American Apparel launched a capsule collection of hoodies, t-shirts and bags in collaboration with Pencils of Promise (POP) to provide support for teachers and fund the construction of new schools in Guatemala, Ghana and Laos, contributing U.S. $220,000. POP is a US-based not-for-profit organization that works to increase access to education and raise global awareness of child illiteracy as there are 250 million children worldwide who lack basic reading, writing and math skills.
Timberland’s Global Leadership Team recently cooked and served dinner to 75 residents of Cross Roads House, non-profit organization that supports community members who are experiencing – or have recently experienced -- homelessness. The team, which had convened at the outdoor lifestyle brand’s global headquarters in Stratham NH for a strategy meeting, dedicated the afternoon to serve the local community together.
The Foodbank volunteer day for employees at the Hallmark Greetings Australia office offers a great opportunity to give back and help those less fortunate. “It allows us to build relationships with coworkers, make a difference in our community and have some fun along the way,” explained Rachel Goldsworthy, national account manager.

Humana Charity Crafters, a group of Humana members in Mesa, Ariz., meet twice a month to create hats and other crafts that benefit their community. By making hats for local cancer patients, the Charity Crafters connect to their sense of purpose and to each other, creating strong bonds and encouraging each other towards their best health.
