Historically, our industry has struggled to embrace the idea of transparency, citing the need to remain competitive. Increasingly, however, we see that physicians, patients, policy makers, and the general public expect our industry to lift its veil — especially on clinical research. And, in our opinion, being transparent is not a path to failure — it is a source of strength.

Gildan proudly supports the communities in which we operate, often going well beyond simply creating employment in our facilities – towards driving our vision to make apparel better. Each year, Gildan organizes several employee volunteering activities enabling employees to get involved and contribute to the enrichment of their communities. For example, reforestation activities, improvements to schools’ infrastructure, as well as activities to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
By day, Damien Savage is a Congressional Sales Lead at Bloomberg Government (BGOV) in Washington, D.C.—managing the sales strategy for BGOV clients and prospects. By night, he’s a Bloomberg Startup mentor with Capital Partners for Education (CPE), a college prep program serving low-income youth in the Washington area.
“I am, myself, the product of mentoring,” said Damien. “Growing up, my home life could be difficult — there were lots of times where it was lonely and there was a temptation to start running with the wrong crowd. My mentors shaped me into who I am today.”
When you get more than 200 DoGooders together in a desert, great things happen. The passion and enthusiasm from everyone who attended Benevity's annual Goodness Matters client conference last week was incredible, and we left Palm Springs more convinced than ever that we, as companies, have an incredible opportunity to create the change we want to see in the world.
