Republic Services proudly hosted a tour at the Roosevelt Regional Landfill located in the state of Washington for the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and key Thurston County elected officials. The highly engaged group of community leaders learned more about how Republic accepts and responsibly processes municipal solid waste on a daily basis. The guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the landfill operations, the state-of-the-art ash metal recovery and recycling facility and the gas to energy facility, of which generates enough renewable energy to power more than 30,000 local households
