Whole Foods Market’s three philanthropic Foundations have combined forces to kick off the Communities Campaign today, a two-week drive to raise awareness and funds, enabling shoppers to join the retailer in efforts to alleviate global poverty, improve children’s nutrition and increase healthy food access in communities facing barriers.
AUSTIN, Texas, October 8, 2020 /3BL Media/ — Whole Cities Foundation, a nonprofit broadening community access to fresh food and nutrition education, announced today that it will award 40 Community First Grants this fall to nonprofit organizations in the U.S.
The Foundation’s Community First Grants support community-led nonprofits with programs focused on creating long-term fresh, healthy food access and more equitable and sustainable local food systems. Each grant partner will receive $8,000 for a total investment of $320,000 by Whole Cities Foundation.
Top youth entrepreneurs from across the country are joining Whole Kids Foundation in a virtual event to share their wins, insights and key learnings with the aim of helping other kids start or grow their businesses. The online event is free and open to the public.

Nonprofit Teams Up with Mikaila Ulmer and Other Teen Pioneers to Host Virtual Round Table for Business-minded Kids on October 3
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 17, 2020 /3BL Media/ – Today, Whole Kids Foundation unveiled the recipients of its first Young Entrepreneurs Pilot Grants aimed at supporting youth-led business programs that are improving the way kids eat through gardening, plant-forward cooking or nutrition education. The two grant recipients received a combined total of $33,000 from the foundation to help grow their programs.
Whole Planet Foundation has been supported by Tony Huston since 2014. Tony was instrumental in his former employer showing up one day to the Whole Foods Market headquarters office in Austin, Texas with a Big Check made out to Whole Planet Foundation for $100,000. He had heard about Whole Planet Foundation impact from Whole Foods Market team members and wanted to join them and other stakeholders in alleviating poverty in countries around the globe that supply stores with products.
