As part of our mission to enhance the well-being of children with disabilities throughout the world, Keystone is providing consultation and training to three community-based rehabilitation centers and a mobile services program in Azerbaijan. The consultation and training focuses on speech therapy, occupational therapy and child psychology and will lead to improved services and supports and increased professional capacity to address the unique needs and strengths of children with autism, cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities.

A team psychologists, therapists and special instructors visited community-based rehabilitation centers in Azerbaijan in May 2010. The project was funded by the Open Society Mental Health Initiative. Our team worked with the staff at the centers to help them adapt strategies for supporting children with disabilities.

When they weren't providing consultation, our team had a chance to see some of the beautiful sites of Azerbaijan.
