This framework sets out the principles and indicators that organizations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance.
Oil and Gas Sector Supplement Public Comment Period
GRI is currently developing sustainability reporting guidelines for the oil and gas sector. The GRI Oil and Gas Sector Supplement is a version of the G3 Guidelines tailored for the oil and gas sector.
The G3 Guidelines set out Reporting Principles and Performance Indicators for economic, environmental, and social Disclosures. In addition, the Supplement includes
sector-specific commentary on the Guidelines’ content, and additional Performance Indicators for the sector, ensuring that sustainability reports by oil and gas companies effectively cover the sector’s key issues.
The Public Comment Period on the final draft of the Oil and Gas Sector Supplement is now open, running from 20 April 2011 until 20 July 2011. This Public Comment Period is the public's main opportunity to provide comments and feedback on the draft Supplement.
