Susquehanna Service Dogs' Gemstones puppies eat their first real meal
Susquehanna Service Dogs' Gemstones litter eats their first real meal of softened puppy food. Getting their first real meal marks a milestone for these service dogs-in-training. In about five more weeks, they'll join their puppy raiser families and start training in earnest to become service dogs.
As service dogs, they will have the skills to assist children and adults with a variety of disabilities, including autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and physical disabilities. These dogs will change lives.
